PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Event #3
Humphries, Littler, and Ando decided o give the event a skip, and just like in the first 2 players championships, Bellyboy went out first round again. Also out in the first round were MvG, Bunting, Cullen, Van Veen and De Decker. Round 2 saw the exit of Smudger, Noppert, Josh Rock, Aspinall, Schindler, Dirk, Gurney and Chizzy who averaged 73.
In the last 32 Price beat Wright with a 112 average, Wade beat Heta.
In the last 16 Rydz beat Wade after he broke Wade twice, each time with 2 maximums in a leg, Clayton fell to Ratajski, Dobey beat the match fixing cunt, Wattimena knocked out Searle. Price and Cross also made it in to the last 8 along with Nick Kenny and Jelle Klaasen who came from 5-2 against Mansell.
Dobey was the first player in to the semis beating Ratajski and had an average of 113.54. Rob Cross was 3-0 down averaging a mere 80, he did add 12 points to his average but went out 6-4 to Klaasen. At 3-3 Price took out a 170 checkout to break Rydz, but Rydz broke back and hit an 11 darter to lead 5-4, Price held and it to a last leg which Rydz won after Price failed to take out 87.Kenny beat Watimena 6-5.
Klaasen took on Nick Kenny for a spot in the final, and the other all Geordie semi saw Rydz against Dobey. With Rydz waiting on a finish for the math Dobey took out 127 to break. Rydz missed the bull for the 170 and the win and Dobey took out 120 to go to a last leg decider where Dobey broke and took the win. Klaasen beat Nick Kenny 7-5. Kenny's run saw him move up 7 places to #57. Klaasen run saw him move up 15 spots to #76. Dobey as expected was too good or Klaasen and wrapped up the win 8-4, which saw Dobey move to World #8
In the last 8 Wade was the highest ranked player left even though Menzies was the higher seed Wade played dog shit, as if he was not wanting to be there or done enough and was lucky not to be 3-0 down, but recovered and then blew darts for a 4-2 and for 5-4 and Menzies took full advantage and took the win. Searle took out Magpie 6-4, and Belmont beat Josh Cock.Dom Taylor averaging 106 took out Clemens. The semis were: Searle against Belmont & Dom Taylor against Menzies. I saw some people complain about these events being full of jobbers, I take the view it is good to see the struggling lower ranked players make a few quid. They were 2 god matches, Dom Taylor missed multiple darts for 5-5 with Menzies and Menzies went 6-4 and threw for the win. Searle took out 120 to win a last leg decider against Belmont in a superb game. Searle beat Menzies in the decent enough final.--- 4 pc's this year, 4 different winners.
KNOB OF THE WEEK.
So far this year he has played 4 ranking comps, and not only lost in each but lost first round on each occasion. Players like Merv King who lost their tourcard and have to depend on invites to players champs have earned more than him, Remember he won the Worlds after a fucking decade of comms hyping this petulant prick, and when he got lucky the so called experts told us hos the "floodgates would open", I posted this one year prior to the Matchplay
As bad as he was then, he was at least automatically qualifying, he is currently out of the Matchplay, and to be honest I do not want to see him at it as he is clearly not good enough at the momentEURO QUALIFIERS
Ryan Joyce was the top seed for #3 but did not have
to qualify for event 4 due to players withdrawing for event 4. 4 seeds
went in the last 80, 4 in the last 40, including Joyce and Rydz in the
final round.
Of the top 10 seeds, only 1 qualified in Ratajski the #3.
Of
the 10 qualifiers there was nine countries represented. 2 Polish, An
Irish, A German, A Czech, A Belgian, A French, A Canadian , A Welsh and
an English.Do not recall ever a qualifier having so few English players
Only 1 player lost with an average over 100, Ricky Evans with a 102.72 in the last 80.
In
event #4 three seeds went in the last 80. 2 in the last 40 and one in
the last 20. Ratakski the only seed to make it through both qualifiers
Of the top ten seed only 4 seeds qualified yet again
Of the 10 qualifiers there was six countries represented. A Polish, An Irish, A Belgian, A Scot, 2 Dutchies and 4 English
GLORIFIED NON RANKING EXBO ROADSHOW.
This
was the first week that I watched, and being in Dublin the crowds were
obviously more civilized than what you get in shitholes like Glasgow,
Manchester etc. Humphries beat Bunting as expected, solid enough game,
Price who has a winning record against Tubbs the kebab guzzler beat
littler 6-4 yet aain and possibly should have won by a bigger margin. Rob Cross
took on Aspinall, the Asp throws like Paul Hogan speaks, the stuttering
cunt. This was a piss poor game won by Aspinall with an 85 average. At
one point Rod Studd who is not only an annoying prick but a complete
moron said “If you’d have told Aspinall he’d be 2 out of 10 on the
doubles, he would think he hadn’t won a leg”. This is the level of
inbred abortion survivors mentality that fans are subjected to. Studd to ignorant and stupid to realize what he said, The Ogre
Hunchback MvG beat Dobey who started very poorly and did not look in anyway
impressive. Comms told us how the last game was a quarter final, every
fucking player is in a quarter finalist if there are only 8 players.I was halfway through my first night of watching the PL and I was already sick to the teeth of the comms. In the
first semi Price continued his good form and disposed of another
Luke, the better Luke. Aspinall beat a shit MvG and to be fair, even
though Stutters should have never been selected, and was only in this
event because of a walk on tune he randomly selected from a band he has
no affiliation with, MvG was lucky to get the 3 legs he did as Asp could
have won by more. With both Lukes and the delusional Dutch rubber
lipped mongo all out before the final , comms had to over hype Aspinall
and of course Price, and despite a decent start by Stutters, Price took
the deserved win, and capped of a decent night of performances and a
worthy winner. Do I feel compelled to tune in next week ? No, and if I do it will unlikely, but if I do the audio will be low if not completely turned off.
GERIATRIC ANNUAL CLUSTERFUCK
The
over 50s event kicked off earlier on Thursday, saw the news on twitter before the PDC PL startd, and could not find a stream, although I
did not look too hard and had darts connect on during the Premier
League, and the Beaton McGarry game looked like, what mushrooms would
regard as a "classic". Beaton as a leg away from losing 3-0 in sets.
McGarry missed a match dart in 4 different legs, and Beaton won 3-2 in
sets winning a last leg decider. Burnett was also 2 sets down and won 3-2
in a last leg decider with Painter waiting on a double. The so called
favourites by the experts on twitter like Hippo Barrs of Shitlock and
McEwan all went out first round, shows what they know. The second
highest average in the entire first round belonged to Merv King, who
averaged 95 but he lost to Coulson who had the higher average of 96. I
did have a smirk on my face seeing Spineless the parasite and his 72
average getting raped 3 zip by Darryl Fatton. Seems Mason was yet another player that came from 2 sets down to take it to a fifth set and final leg, but he lost., but saw none of Friday nights session, why would I as I have a social life. I had another smirk n my face when I saw Neil Duff had jobbed again. I do not mind 7 of the 8 players left, in fact I even like a few of them like Burnett, Coulson, Hendo and Thornton, but in the end it does not matter to me who wins as no one really gives a flying fuck about this event, run by ignorant childlike cunts an event calling itself a world championships and they have not even got a wikipedia page for it.
