I did not watch this weeks PL, why would I , maybe finals night might be worth a watch if I have nothing else planned, I have already seen others on social media and forums claim they are already bored with it. If you enjoy it, that is great, but it does not alter the fact this crowd issue has been an issue for many many years. Obviously with viewing figures seemingly at an all time high, partly due to the popularity of a ever increasing obese Littler, who looks like he could soon reach the levels of Andy Fordham, and after securing a new tv rights deal with Sky TV, the PDC must be seem to be acting accordingly over the crowd actions. Am I the only one who laughs as Littler takes on the equally fat MG and comms tell us how this game is a sport ?
Darts is a game, a great game , and one where successful players can make very good money these days, but I am getting sick of comms trying to brainwash people in to actually believing this game is a sport. Here is a game where numerous people drank themselves to death. Jocky, Alan Evans, Andy Fordham, a game where Phil Taylor was winning World championships in his 50s, where a heavy drinking Simon Whitlock on fucking crutches with a broke ankle not only played in the World Championships, he lost out in a last set decider of reaching the world final. Countless players look like they are 9 months pregnant from bad diets and heavy drinking, and how players interviews had payers slurring their words. Add in those suspended for drug use over the years. Sport is played by athletes, can you honestly look at those obese players, or those over 40 and say these people are athletes or sportsmen, its an insult to real sportsmen.
On the topic of Twat Porter, in an interview this week spoke about not selecting Mike de Decker for the Premier League stating that "Mike De Decker has won one tournament, but you have to do more than that".
If that is the criteria, then by that logic Luke Littler should not have been in the 2024 Premier League as he at that point of selection had never won a single ranking tv title in the PDC . Littler had done less than De Decker when he was chosen.. Personally I could not give 2 shiny shits who gets picked as I do not care about the PL .The fact Littler went on to win the non ranking event does not alter the contradictory statement by Twat Porter.
THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Players Championships #1 started Monday, and was won by Rob Cross who played superb at times. However against Wattimena in the quarters, he blew a large lead, and it went to a final leg and he started with a score in the 20s, and looked to have blown it, bit a maximum before returning to claim the win showed the resilience he had throughout the day. All 4 semi finalists played superb, with Cullen beating both Luke Humphries and Luke littler on his way to the final. MvG gave the events a skip. The #1 seed Chizzy went out first round, and Price, Dobey were gone by the 2nd round.
On the opposite side, Ryan Searle was defending the "title" from 2 years ago and not only did he lose without defending a solitary penny of it, he was the first player beaten that day, all be it with a 108 average. Other first round losers were Gando, Krusty, Aspinall, and Bellyboy. I thought when that waddling fat cunt won the Worlds years ago the "floodgates would open.....That is what we were told.
Players championships #2 started off seeing Bellyboy go out first round again, I have no doubt some excuse will be offered up, there is always one. Beau Greaves got her first win in a PC, when she beat the tubby cunt Josh Rock, the same Josh that recently said in an interview he and Luke Littler would dominate the game. What a delusional fuckwit. Rob Cross the previous days winner went out first round to Mickey Mansell, clearly the snail pace does not suit Rob. Humphries skipped the event which I believe was his birthday. In the second round Wade was averaging 74,and this was in the sixth leg against Burness, and was only 3-2 down, he needs to practice or retire, sad to see him hang around like a bad fart. Its a good thing for him his seeding gets him in the euro tour as he would not qualify via winning games in a qualifier. Bi-polar lazy prick lost with a 78 average after missing countless doubles. If this was modus I would say it was fixed. Bradley Brooks had the darts to beat Littler 6-4 but it was not to be. Brooks on throw was not even on a finish after 15 darts, Littler broke and held. Barney was mauled 6 zip by Nick Kenny, must have been his lucky watch. Gando went out to Jock jobber Beveridge.The bigger names dropped like flies in the last 32, Krusty, Cullen, Stutters, Rydz, Clayton, De Decker, and Dirk.
I was delighted to see Littler beat Nijman, I always enjoy seeing that match fixing cunt lose. Bunting went out, as did Cabbage Heta and Ratajski. Ross Smith needing 122 to beat Noppert bust his score, at the same time Chizzy missed 122 to beat Nick Kenny, but Chizzy and smudger made the last 8 and the only jobber left was the tea towel wearing gimp Hempel. Price took out Littler, adn then Searle to reach the final against Dobey who beat Hempel and Smudger. Dobey led 6-3 and was comptely out scoring Price but missed doubles cot him as Price won 4 legs on the trot and held to win a last leg decider.
EURO TOUR QUALIFIERS
The Euro Tour qualifiers took place on Wednesday and it highlighted how fucked up the selection process is, for example Wade who I referred to earlier is playing dog shit and automatically qualified, yet players performing better in general had to go in to the qualifiers, and in qualfier #1. Rydz went out early as the #9 seed. Williams the #6 also went early as did the #2 seed Cullen, all out in the last 80. Ratajski and Lukeman the #4 & #8 seeds went in the last 40.
Of the 10 seeds, only 1 qualified in Joyce the #3
Of the 10 qualifiers there was only 3 countries represented. 7 English, 2 Canadians, and a French player.
6 players lost with an average over 100, the highest losing average 109.16 by Lukas Wenig, his opponent Hurrell averaged 110.57
In qualifier #2,Joyce was not an entrant and four of the 10 seeds went out in the last 80, Dolan, Madars, Mansell & Williams. In the last 40, Ratajski and Clemens exited.
Of the 10 seeds, only 4 qualified in Rydz, Cullen, Lukeman and Doets.
Of the 10 qualifiers there was only countries represented. 6 English, 2 Germans, a Scot, and a Dutch player.
3 players lost with an average over 100, the highest losing average 103.01 by Owen Bates.
It seems not only is the elite of the game with both Lukes being English, the vast majority of those in the qualifiers getting through are English, despite the hope of the PDC to globalize the game,
