KNOB OF THE WEEK
I don't know why, but for some reason I convinced myself the opening rounds of the Grand Prix had been reduced to the best of 3 sets, completely forgetting that has been the format for years. Not sure why I always thought the first round longer. Of course with such a short race first round it give more opportunities for upsets, and that's exactly what we got. Anyone that reads this blog knows I love ranking darts, especially ranking proper Majors and I have always considered the Grand Prix as such. I have enjoyed the darts, however the commentary from those cunts at Sky has always been atrocious, but even by their standards it was beyond deplorable at times.
For example when the hun Pikachu dumped out Barney, did sky go on about Pikachu ? No they spent more time speaking about the bloated ex postman. When Rob Cross turfed out the waddling kebab guzzler did they speak about the things Cross did right ? Of course not they would rather focus on the loser Littler instead of giving the rightful praise to Cross. When Wade beat Wright we got how Wright gifted Wade the last leg, completely ignoring Wade gifted wright the first set, Wade deservedly won the second set, and regardless of Wright choking Wade would still have the darts in the next leg for the win.
When Gurney whitewashed the Hunchback did Sky spend their time focusing on Gurney ? No, they rather discuss MvG. I am sick to the teeth of Sky and their bias towards their favourites, It is a the point where even Ando in a post match interview moaned how Sky and the media ignore the reigning champion, world #1 and reigning world champion Luke Humphries. Wade in his post match interview also spoke how Sky concentrate on players that never won a proper ranking Major, and said he has gotten used to it by now.
When the third most successful player in PDC history, and Ando a former double world champion are openly speaking about it it shows how bad it is. On Thursday when showing the brief highlights of Aspinall and Joyce it was cleverly edited to make it look like Asp threw it away and Joyce was somehow lucky, they failed to show Joyce missing his chance with 60 for the match missing the board, you would expect that to be in the highlights, but amazingly that did not suit the agenda
Wade who won on Thursday night was then first up on Friday, Why ? surely Cross-v- Joyce, and Humphries -v- Clayton should have been on first since they played Wednesday, and Wade-v-De Decker and Cullen -v-Babs be the later games...but no typical sky shoving Wade to the early spot again. Had Gando beat De Decker, and Price beat Wade, does anyone believe Price and Ando would be on first ?
At this point the Sky cunts are not even trying to hide their blatant bias and favourtism. Of course if a player openly speaks out too vehemently, you know the DRA Nazi party would be all over them, fining them coin for their DRA Christmas party.
This is why I will never ever pay for Sky again. I hope when the PDC tv rights come up they go elsewhere and fuck Sky.How beautiful would that be, no more Mardle possibly.
Remember when people tried to say MvG was better than Phil Taylor, remember that mental illness and recency bias ? I do not ever recall Taylor getting whitewashed in a ranking tv major. It was not his first time getting whitewashed in a ranking comp on TV either, as he got humped 6-0 against Ando in the Players Championships finals back in 2011.

Anyone that ever believed Hunchback was even close to Taylor needs psychiatric help. I was delighted to see MvG, Littler, Barney, Stutters etc all go out, yes all great players, but if it spares us viewers being subjected to the constant bias towards their favourites then it has to be a good thing.Take this abortion survivor who cried over Wades comments about Luke Humphries trying to make out MvG with 15 failures in world championships is the second best player despite other players with better world championship records.
Lowe has as many world titles, never mind a superior player like Bristow but like most simpletons who believe they know everything they ignore history because they never watched it. His excuse was MvG won other ranking events. Odd isn't it how people leave out Wade out of the all time top list because he did not win a world championship, as seemingly other majors do not count, but when you point out how MvG only has 3 world title, suddenly those other ranking majors now count. Its total contradiction. MvG is a fabulous player who won lots but again new fans who are unaware of the split and why it even happened do not realize there were far less comps back then, it is part of the reason the split happened. People like this dicksplash google history, and then think they know more than people like me who watched Bristow and the game since a kid in the 70s, these new sky brainwashed simpletons look at wikipedia automatically think they are experts, see averages and do not factor in old boards and equipment, the lack of majors etc. Sky is to blame for this brainwashing again, sheep who will believe anything and question nothing.
MONDAY
So there I was finished work around 3 o clock on Monday and thought as a warm up would skip through the Monday session of modus whilst having a cup of tea. Jesus H Christ on a stick, that line up, which was a Woman, a Tranny, a Black, a Yank, a Racist and a guy that looked like he survived the Belsen concentration camp. Before some woketard brainwashed lefty cunt cries how I am offensive, I find mentally ill men who think they can rewrite the laws of nature put on a bra and claim they are a woman with their constant agenda is offensive to me.. I would sooner eat my own shit before I would watch some man parade around in a bra occupy my screen. Modus was given a skip for the time being.. So on the the Grand Prix. Teeth McDonald welcomed us to the wonderful city of Leicester.....yes Leicester and wonderful in the same sentence. I feel sorry for the decent residents of Leicester which is like Karachi., a fucking third world hovel
First up was Josh Rock who acted like some cokehead chav running around the oche like a ritilin addicted pancake in love with himself, and after he lost the first set hecompletely imploded and the great unwashed Ryan Joyce won the second set with ease and the game.
Dolan threw utter muck against Spacehopper Schindler. In set 2 Dolan won a leg and had to survive 3 match darts and threw to level the match, but Schindler broke and deservedly won the game.
Clayton took on Edhouse and the coal scavenger threw superb darts taking the first set and Edhouse needed a 147 to just win a leg and then broke to throw for the set, but Clayton was superb and broke and held for the win. A great watch.
Then we had stutters against Searle who comms said was in the world top 16, but he never was, why let the truth get in the way of these cunts on comms. Stutters took the first set, Searle the second and first game to go the distance and in a last leg decider stutters left double 12 after 9 darts for the win Comms told us how it was an upset with the world #7 beating the world #18. Let that sink in.
The we had the battle between Holland's most miserable and entitled cunt against the arrogant petulant hun prick Pikachu. No matter who won, we all lost. So fucked off and got a cup of tea, and when I came back the sweaty ex postman was a set down, and was seemingly 2 legs up in it. Pikachu missed a match dart and on to a final set. The little hun even broke 81 in the last leg and saw off Barney. I won't miss him.
Bunting who used last weeks players championships to earn not only a lot of coin but get great practice blitzed Scumphries in the first set. In the second Bunting made it 5 legs on the trot and Scumphries was in the shit, with Bunting missing a match dart for a 6 legs to nil win, but Scumphries broke to take his first leg and Bunting seemed to collapse, as Scumphries broke, and held, and Bunting throwing for the win still lost the leg and the set despite Humphries failing to get off in his first 3 darts. In to the deciding set and Humphries was awake now and wrapped it up 3-1 in legs to one. Both players won 6 legs, but after Bunting won the first 5 legs he fell to pieces.
Then it was Luke Littler with a hairstyle that looked like someone pissed on his head, up against Rob Cross who has no shame in being bald, unlike Callan Wygz. When Cross broke for one leg each you could hear the disappointment in the comms, and likewise when Cross went 2-1 up in legs and when he won the set, In set 2 all first 4 legs went with throw and Littler started with a 160 in a leg he had to win and leveled the match, In set 3 Cross upped his game and deservedly took the win. The comms and crowd seemed almost depressed the little kebab munching vaping lazy arse fucker was sent packing. He was the bookies favourite also. He is a great player Littler, but I will always take joy in a player losing after the commentary team rim his hole throughout a match. This agenda by Sky would keep appearing.
Last up was Smudger against Van Veen, with Smudger taking the first set with ease on the darts. Smudger broke early and Van Veen was in trouble but broke with the aid of a 170 checkout and then missed double 12 for a 145, Smudger finshed with the 7th highest average for a win in the first round, Van Veen had the 3rd highest losing average, yet the game seemed flat. Despite the loss I see a bright future for Van Veen
TUESDAY
Chizzy who always finds a way to shit himself in front of a TV camera took on Menzies and instead it was Menzies who seemed to be losing the plot as he went a set down. In set 2 Chizzy could afford to miss 5 darts at a double and still break throw and hold where he had won all 5 legs of the match and Chizzy broke again. When Chizzy is owning you on TV, its time Menzies fucked off to the south coast and join his girlfriend in Modus.
Luke Woodlouse against Babs, and De Decker against Cabbage Heta were the next 2 games and for me the 2 worst draws of the entire comp, and when Babs went a set down I went for a shower and by the time I came back, Babs not only won, but Cabbage was a set down. That hairdo, glasses and moustache on Heta makes him look like a kiddy fiddler, that tache needs to go. The 2 following sets were a great watch. Cabbage with 31 for the match missed the big number and a match dart, and it went to a last leg decider which De Decker won. Guess its fitting in a comp of doubles Decker should do well.
Wade and Wright promised much but was turgid shit despite any drama sky tried hype. Wade went 2 legs up, and despite having a 2 set darts, Wade lost 3 legs on the trot and the set. Wade was scoring better, averaging 7 points more and got his reward by winning set 2 even though it was on Wades darts, and into the decider. Wade broke right away, and held to move within a leg. Wright was well clear and Wade seemed resigned to losing the leg, but Wright missed dart after dart at a double and Wade said fuck it, thank you very much and got a deserved win.Again sky would rather concentrate on the loser Wright.
Noppert took on Gerwyn Price, and Noppert dominated the first 3 legs, but lost 2 of them due to errors, missed doubles and Price wrapped up a set he should not have won. Noppert was no better in set 2 but now it was Prices turn to blow the set, with Noppert taking out 2 checkouts with a bull finish.
Into a final set and Price struggling to get off in a sulk hit 3 double twenties and was a leg down chasing the game he should have won. When Noppert broke it looked all over but Noppert missed a match dart and Price broke, and Price held with ease and into a last leg decider and Noppert with the darts, failed to get off in his fist 5 darts and Price with 148 left hit 2 treble twenties and them with 28 left miscounted and luckily hit the 4, and returned for the win.Price averaged only 83 in the end but was great drama.
Bellyboy who is defending over 650k in the next few months took on Gando in a game he badly needed to win. Gando scored superb but his finishing doubles cost him dear and Bellyboy despite averaging almost 5 points less took the set.
Ando came out flying in set 2, held and broke but missed a set dart and Bellyboy broke and he looked certain to hold but multiple missed darts allowed Ando break and level the match in sets. In set 3 Ando then missed 2 darts to break, and the legs went on throw with the game going to a last leg decider. Bellyboy got off and scored well but Ando scored better so had a shot at 126 and but missed the bull for the match and Bellyboy with 54 for the win then blew it and Ando took the win, and to be fair was the better player.
By the time the rubber lipped, wife cheating hunchbacked cunt MvG took on Northern Ireland's version of the miserable depressing Barney I was getting tired and when Gurney took the first set it perked my interest as there was a chance of a shock result. Of course during the interval the focus was not on how well Gurney played breaking MvG twice, but how shit their favourite was, keeping up their bias and agenda. In set 2 Gurney held in leg 1 and MvG missed multiple darts to hold and Gurney broke, and Gurney was throwing for the win. MvG hit 180 with 186 left and Gurney missed the bull for a whitewash, but Hunchbck failed to take out the 6 and got raped 6 zip....as the opening line of Endymion by Keats says, A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Again I have to repeat this, there are people out there who claimed this bald cunt was better thn Taylor. Last up was Cardboard Dobey versus Joke Ullen and I was done. Found out later Cullen won and it was a result he badly needed,
So after the completion of round one half the top 16 in the world were gone, half of the world's top 20 were gone. 2 of the worlds top 3 were gone, and it could have been all three had Bunting not missed the dart to whitewash Scumphries. There was not a single Dutch player left either, which pleased me, as we all know how Dutch cunts get upset and decide certain comps are not majors when the Dutchies are sent packing.
WEDNESDAY - SECOND ROUND
I decided to then catch up on Modus before the 7pm start and obviously fast forwarded all the games that had the tranny and was surprised to see Devon Peterson playing as well as he has for a while, The Yank also threw some good stuff winning the group and came across as a decent lad in interviews.
So on to the proper Darts first up was Ryan Joyce against Stutters.With the first set going to Stutters we would be spared having to hear how stutters is a fighter had he gone behind.Joyce took the second set with all 10 legs played going with throw. Joyce got an early break and with a 110 checkout took the 3rd set and had the darts for set 4, and joyce held twice with a crucial 96 and in to a 5 leg with Joyce throwing for the win, and despite hitting the 100th maximum of the comp Joyce with 60 left and 2 darts in hand went outside the board and Asp cleaned up and into a 5th set with Joyce looking fucked when needing 76 to break, then broke his score. Asp on throw left 32 after 9, and went 2-1 up in legs with Joyce throwing to save himself and Asp missed 2 match darts and Joyce broke and in to a last leg decider with Stutters with the darts, and stutters could not hit a treble and Joyce with double 6 for the match bust his score again, only for Asp to miss another match dart and Joyce won a game he should have won sooner and showed "the fighter" what a fighter he was. A great watch.
Cross took the first set with ease against Schindler who was averaging 82. In set 2 it was the reverse with Schindler running amok and averaging the higher to level the game. Set 3 saw Schindler go 2 legs up and lose the set. Cross took out 105 to break and go ahead in the 4th set and held and Schindler was on the ropes despite then holding throw. When Schindler failed to get away with his first 6, Cross romped home for the 3-1 win.
Scumphries took on Pikachu and once the German blew darts to hold it felt like it was all over as Scumphries romped the first set to no ones surprise. Pikachu went 2-1 up in legs and failed to take advantage of Luke missing opening doubles and took the set, dragging out the match and made the session longer. The hun scored better but his starting doubles were poor and when Scumphries took out 130 for the set and a 2-1 set lead and then broke right away in the next set it was all over.
Smudger averaging 98 took the first set 3-0 with Clayton averaging in the mid 70s which included a 149 checkout. Set 2 saw Clayton add ten points to his average and take the set despite a 145 checkout from Smudger. Despite Clayton averaging over 10 points less, took the set on throw for a 2-1 lead after Smudger missed a set dart. In the 4th set, Smudger dominated the scoring but missed chances and Clayton averaging in the 70s was 2-1 up in legs throwing for the match and Smudger was done. It felt like Smudger was mugged as Clayton with an average that just went over 80 took the win.
THURSDAY - SECOND ROUND
Gando got the ball rolling against De Decker and played decent first set but De Decker was even better taking the set 3-0.In set 2, it went to a fifth leg on throw and de Decker broke and went 2 sets up on the bookies second favourite,and the lad from Belgium, home of kiddy fiddlers and chocolate which kind of go hand in hand wrapped up the third set and deservedly won which seemed to put a downer on comms.

Then it was time for 2 of my favourite players in the top 32, Wade and Price. Wade with the darts took the first leg and then missed 6 darts to break, and in the fifth leg Wade missed the bull for a 170 but returned to take the set. In set 2 Wade broke right way and held, as did Price and Wade took the set after hitting a max to leave 24. Wade averaged over a ton for the set. Wade had the darts in set 3. Wade held and then broke despite Wade taking 10 darts to get away and was now throwing for the match and hit his 4th maximum and waiting with tops for the match Price took out 130 to break. Wade then missed tops for the beak and the match but got another visit and wrapped it up. Wade was clinical but Price was woeful. I doubt anyone would have predicted Wade and De Decker winning 3-0. I want to se Price back to his best as he is always a great watch on TV. Ironically Wade won on World Mental Health Day make of that as you will.
Gurney broke in leg one against Cullen and then held, Cullen in leg 4 hit a 170 to leave 16 but Gurney took out 72 for the set against the darts and averaging over a dozen points less than Cullen. In set 2 Cullen came out flying and broke with ease, but them struggled to get away and Gurney broke back, then held and Cullen had to hold to stop going 2 sets and Gurney missed the bull for a 164, and then blew a set dart on the 25 and Cullen held, and hen Cullen who was averaging 10 points more broke and leveled the game in sets. Game on.
Set 3 gurney averaged over 107 and romped the set which included 2 break of throw. Cullen was in the shit now as Gurney had the darts in set 4 yet Gurney then missed countless doubles to hold and doubles to break and was 2 legs down, and Cullen made it 2 sets each, and now Cullen was now the favourite with the darts and held leg one with ease and broke with ease also and was throwing for the win as Gurney capitulated. Cullen from 2-1 down in sets ran off 6 legs on the trot for the win.
Last up was dancing Barbara against Tv's biggest choker. Chizzy missed 11 finishing doubles and still won the first set 3-1. The standard dropped further in set 2 as Babs leveled the match with both averaging 81. In set 3, the legs went with throw. Chizzy with a chance to break missed 2 big numbers the choking cunt and Babs held and then broke for a 2-1 lead in sets.At this point I was not surprised , typical Chizzy on tv. Chizzy in set 4 missed a dart to break, but Chizzy for a brief moment must have fogot he was on tv as he took out 144 to break and was throwing for the set and choking cunt hit scores of 26, 61, and 76 and Babs broke and threw for the match. Why do I even bother watching this choking cunt on TV, its only a matter of when, not if he chokes. Scruffy Dan Dawson told us this was impressive from Babs who won with an average of 88. No bias there either I suppose.
After the completion of the second round only 4 of the top 16 were left and the other 4 players were obviously then outside the top 16 and 2 of them were outside the top 30, all the Scottish players were now gone like the Dutch.
Apart from Sky, I was really enjoying this comp, we got the surprise exits of Littler and MvG, even Joyce was involved in great watches, players like Bellyboy and Wright who badly needed wins are gonna freefall down the rankings, Gando and Wade speaking out about sky favouritism was decent, all in all a fantastic few days so far.
FRIDAY - QUARTER FINALS.
first up was Wade and De Decker because they only played the night before, why stick on Cross, Joyce etc who had the Thursday off.Decided I had enough of sitting on my hole all week every night and was going for a few pints after the first game, and What a start it was with the first 4 legs break of throws..De Decker then held for the first set with Wade waited on tops for the set.Both players well over a ton average.Best set of the comp standard wise. Set 2 again started with 4 breaks of throw
and this time Wade throwing for the set but struggled getting away and lost that set as well. I was thinking how the fuck was Wade 2-0 down despite his better scoring,his failure to get off on throw would be very costly. Set 3 and Wade could not buy a starting double and went a leg down and was fucked, my taxi was going to be called a little earlier than expected, and on throw wade hit a score of 27 but somehow held and missed a dart to break and De Decker a leg away from a superb win and the joy in scruffy cunt dawsons voice was very noticeable. Wade held and in the final leg, Wade hit a max, but so did De Decker and took the win. The scoreline not a true reflection of the game,and Wade playing like that will win a lot more than he will lose. Credit to De Decker.
Cross and Joyce was on next and I was out the gap.
When I got home I caught up with the darts and who would have expected yet another classic involving the great unwashed Joyce. Cross takes the first set, Joyce the second and third, before Cross leveled the match with 3 checkouts of 156, 81, and 110. In the final set with Joyce leading 2-1 in legs, Cross missed 2 darts for a break and throw for the match and Joyce sent him packing. another grand Prix classic.
Scumphries was nowhere near his best but took the first set, before Clayton leveled. In set 3 Clayton was 2 legs up and Luke hit a sweet 146 to break and then held broke for the set, Clayton was on the ropes and Scumphries saw it out for the win.
Last up was dancing prancing Babs and Joe Cullen, with Cullen finishing poor but starting better took the first set. Babs uped his game and took the second set, and when Babs deservedly took the 3rd set with a bull finish and Bas had the darts Cullen was in trouble. When Babs too out 109 for a 2-1 lead, Cullen was done sadly as the prick Babs won.
So the four remaining players wee the world #1, #11, #31 and #32, with the semis of Luke and Joyce, and an all Belgian semi of Babs and De Decker. Here's hoping for a Humphries win,, even de Decker or Joyce but hopefully not Babs who really irritates the fuck out of me.
OTHER SHIT.
Seemingly the WDF Master was on this week, and this shit is even less relevant that he old farts seniors shit. You cold not pay me to watch that shit. As much as I slate modus, make no mistake, outside the PDC, the best darts are in Modus which is a far more professional set up, better standard of quality, better promoted even if their clickbait is embarrassing. That seniors shit and WDF muck is an embarrassment to the game. Who wants to set grubby players in a grubby hall on a grubby stream waddling about for pittance. That said it is apt for the likes of Scott Mitchell , Neil Duff and other over pushed jobbers. Even Pinocchio would rather play job in modus this week than rock up to that shit. I have no idea who won, not do I care because it is utterly meaningless pub shit and if that offends any WDF fans or WSDT fans go fuck yourselves.
PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
This returns midweek and then a Euro Tour, I love this time of the year for ranking darts in the big build for the one and only World Championships. With players like Bellyboy, right in freefall, Wade finding form, De Decker , Joyce and others making big strides, the Order of Merit come the world and after is going to get some serious shake up..................enjoy the weekend folks..
I am sure there must be a few typos in amongst all that, which will give those obsessed with me a reason to moan and disregard everything else.
