Neil Duff at long last finally made it to finals night all be it having modus arrange it for him to face some of the worst players I have ever seen. Modus who somehow thinks this jobber is a draw must have been disgusted the WDF "World champion" and I use that term in the loosest sense bored the crowd of 11 people to death. Remember these are free tickets and 11 people turned up, and by the time Duff made the semi it was down to 7, and when Duff made the final there was 4 people left watching the final.
If that does not tell you how insignificant the title of WDF Champion is nothing will, 4 people with free tickets were willing to stay and watch that shit.
On a positive note, I watched Scott Baker this week and the guy is always a good watch due to his speed and threw some magnificent darts, and one of my favorites Colin Osborne had a disaster of a day on Thursday, but did enough on Friday to qualify, so that is 2 players that makes Saturdays final worth a watch for a change.

Nathan Girvan who missed out on tour card earlier this year was told by Chris Mason that missing out on a tour card could be the best in the long run and now Mason is being his "mentor". I made the mistake last week thinking Cross had previously secured his World Cup spot, and guess it was fate that he and Scumphies would make the final of the last European Tour, and the final spot for Cross would not be enough as he would have missed out by 500 quid, so was delighted to see Cross win, and the sour face on Scumphries was priceless, and his poor me interview was classic, how he is always getting punished for mistakes. As I said last week I don't give a fuck about the World Cup and who is the squads, but I know Scumphries did.

As I stated in my tweet, 37 players have won a Premier Event in the far superior PDC, when you add Bristow, Jockey, Bob Anderson, John Lowe, Leighton Rees, and even Keith Deller, who all won a World title before the PDC existed due to the split and immediately the WDC/PDC became the top organisation, that makes 43 players of the bat already ahead of him.
That is not even counting people like the bitter poisonous angry dwarf Alan Evans who people tried to convince me was "a genius" and one of the greatest players ever citing his solitary World Masters title in 1975. If a Bob Potter Cup won in a post split BDO makes you are a great, then by that same insanity is Wayne Warren or Neil Duff among the greats for winning the same two bob tin pot ?
