Then we have Thunder Thighs Turner criticize averages she could only hit in her fucking dreams, and only there to tick some box for equality nonsense. People use to slag Waddell, Lanning and Harrington, but today's commentary are abysmal, Studd is atrocious and a supreme ass kisser, we are the point Durrant and Part are possibly the best of them.
Littler made the news because he upset some snowflakes. I am no Littler fan, and will be the first to criticize him, but his recent comments to the crowd were spot on, how can I criticize any player for telling the truth. Here is my real gripe with the worlds.
For years during the split I have seen Barry Hearn, PDC officials, players and fans have a dig at the bdo about Lakeshite and the prize fund being top heavy, in comparison to their other mickey mouse events, and it was a valid argument, and now the PDC do the same thing themselves.
Ryan Searle and his lucky run got him the same amount of money a player would get for winning the Matchplay, is a semi final in the world more prestigious than winning the matchplay ? No in my opinion. Does anyone on earth believe Ryan Searle who is now ranked #8, is he 8th best player in the world? Of course not.
I get it , the world is the pinnacle event, but is the Worlds really so important that its prize money for the winner is the same as winning 5 Matchplays the second biggest event in dart, seriously ? If I was a player, I rather win 5 Matchplays than the worlds.
The top heavy prize fund suits players whose window is short, players with freak spells, but players like Wade, Price Noppert, consistent players all year are all round better players. for example Wade in 2025 made the final of the UK Open, a proper ranking major, one of the oldest majors, made the final of the Matchplay, the second biggest event in darts and lost both finals to Littler, he got 150k, Justin hood for just 4 games got 100k. Yes people will say timing, but with a lucky draw, a player can get a run and put himself in a false position in the rankings. 2 yeas later they are nowhere, whilst player who have been at the top for well over a decade will still be top 16. How can winning the Worlds be worth more than the Matchplayplay, Uk Open, Grand Prix, Slam and others combined that is just fucked up.
As a Wade fan seeing the slop Evans served up against Manby was sickening, but did enjoy Josh Cock, Bunting and Apinall going out.
Bunting is no longer in the the top 4 and loses his automatic PL spot, so expect twat Porter to make up some new rule to get him in or Aspinall or Josh Cock.
