KNOB OF THE WEEK
I have always expressed my opinion how MvG was/is a vile repugnant cunt. Always one to run his mouth, speak with a super inflated ego. Many years ago I saw a video clip of him insulting Robert Thornton a guy that weighs less than MvG's head and belly and when Thornton picked up a chair MvG moved fairly quick as he ran. This is a guy who tried to sleep with a Bradford slapper whilst his partner was back in Holland pregnant with his child. Last week he not only skipped a euro tour to concentrate on qualification for the players championships then rock up and do badly in the first 2 throw a hissyfit and skip the next one, and this week also, a video emerged of him brawling in a kebab shop. Of course speed jobber Vinny van der Voort defended him, as most dutch cunts always defend each other even when it is blatantly obvious what is plain to see when they are in the wrong.
Do not get me wrong, as a player he was superb in his prime and possibly after Bristow and Taylor the biggest player in the game, but those days at the top are long gone and will not be returning, and him getting dumped by the wife, brawling in tacky kebab joints and throwing hissyfits shows which direction most people can expect him to go. This is the muppet who claimed on TV "people fear me"...they sure as fuck don't now
SWISS EURO TOUR
Like I mentioned last week the main emphasis for most players this weekend was positioning in the races for the European championships, and the Grand Prix.
The Saturday afternoon session was a great quality session which saw the exits of Chizzy, Wright , Zonneveld, de Decker, Veenstra, Dirk and O'Connor. Chizzy's and O'Connors defeats saw their chances of a euro spot in real trouble, whilst Ratajski's win saw him leapfrog Gilding in the Grand Prix spots.Cross's win saw him move in the qualifying spot for the ECF.
Saturday evening saw Wade blow it against Joyce who was now assured of a GP spot,Schindler dumped out Pikachu, Fattimena battered Josh Cock, Humphries and Cross dumped out Rydz and Aspinall, Barney won a huge game in beating Heta in a last leg decider, Bunting was too strong for Landman and Dobey saw off Mensur.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON: Searle sent Humphries out, Woodlouse dumped Fattimena, Clayton beat Schindler in a great match,Dekker won a last leg decider against Dobey in a game with superb finishing with 127 out, Bunting was too good for Ratajski, Barney walloped Edhouse 6 zip, Van Veen was too strong for Joyce and Cross won a last leg decider against noppert. The session has some outstanding finishing in multiple games.
Barney and Cross were now well inside the European champs qualifiers with Edhouse and O Connor looking more stranded, as Barney and Ratajski secured their Grand Prix spots also.
SUNDAY EVENING : Woodlouse beat Searle and Dekker beat Clayton and thank fuck I was going to the pub as there was no one left outside of Van Veen I cared to watch, and he went out in the semis to Bunting who beat woodlouse in the final. Thank fuck I missed it.
PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
EVENT #28
No Littler or Wade but this made no difference as it was a jobbertastic event. MvG went out in the last 32 which meant on Tuesday he was still 9k outside qualification. Humphries, Heta, Chizzy, Krusty, Bellyboy, Ando, Cullen, Cross and Rock all went out first round. Price , Aspinall Dirk and MvG went out in the last 32. I did enjoy seeing that Nijman lost to Clayton who averaged over 110. The scruffy half blind window cleaner won the event and it cemented his world #19 spot. The losing finalist Super Mario moved up a spot to #68. There were 3 nine darters during the event, for Springer in round 1 and Belmont and Hunt in round 2.
EVENT #29
Wade decided to show up for this one and averaged 104.98 in the first round, one of multiple players in the top 16 to average over a ton, Humphries had the highest with a 112.99. Those going early included Babs, Bellyboy, Cullen and Chizzy unsurprisingly. Price. Cross, and Krusty the more familiar names exited in round 2, and in the last 32 out went Wade, Dobey, Van Veen. MvG went out in the last 16 , leaving him 6.5k outside the qualifiers with only one comp to come.
In the last 8 the match fixing human piece of shit beat Clayton, Ando won a last leg decider against Humphries, Smudger beat Ryan Treacle, and Josh Cock beat Noppert. Thankfully Smudger beat the human pipe cleaner and match fixer and Rock saw off Ando.
EVENT #30
When I got home and saw who won the event and was sickened by the result I did not find it worth even discussing it. Nothing disgusts me more than seeing a match fixing cunt prosper in a game he not only disrespected, but showed the world what a vile cunt he is, what the betting, excuses the pun, the lanky beetroot faced speed jobber was singing his praise for simply being Dutch.
WORLD GRAND PRIX
I am really looking forward to this, and whilst the Matchplay is the second biggest ranking major of the year, the Grand Prix has always been my second favorite event of the year, not only because of the double in format, but because of set play, just like the Worlds. All year in floor tours, euro tours, non ranking exbos like the PL, World Series etc its one endless stream of leg play events and the Grand Prix is a pleasant change.
Looking at the draw I expect every player on the left for to be the bookies and most fans favorites, the only exceptions where I see possible upsets might be Cross who is far from his best and maybe Searle who is in form giving Price a close tight affair. Littler will obviously be a huge favorite but Van Veen will not be an easy game, and Van Veen winning would be my hope and blow the comp wide open.
