KNOB OF THE WEEK

Nathan Aspinall showed what a dumb fuck he is this week when during a pdc interview on mental health  decided that not only was Darts a sport, but elite sport, but claimed he had the made up "dartitis", and here is the kicker, he diagnosed himself with an imaginary "disease" in a game he hilariously thinks is a sport. You could not make this shit up.

Last Thursday the non ranking, invitational, glorified exhibition-al roadshow finally finished. There are people out there who actually consider this a Major. This "Premier Event" ran for almost 4 fucking months, only had 8 different players, was non ranking, and is ultimately a handy pay day for "friends of Twat Porter"....to put things into perspective, the 2024 PDC World Championships which is a genuine ranking Major which the Premier League is not, ran for 19 days, and that is counting the days off around xmas day, not 4 months like the PL. It consisted of 96,,,yes ninety six different players, not the same 8 week in week out.

Finals night was quality darts, final was played between the 2 best players of the campaign, fans were treated to a 9 darter which has always been hyped more than its actual value and in the end other than generate funds for the PDC from the ticket sales from multiple weeks, I cannot fathom why any fan can imagine why this would be a Major. It was a good night of darts and a great watch in terms of quality, but one single night that was only 3 matches were the winner wins a non raking title is not what is a major. That's akin to saying the World Series is a Major, because has the same PL players, playing in another non ranked  event that is invitational.

Its almost like when morons like Mardle decides to call something "A Major" and people simply just accept his utterances, question nothing and then criticize anyone that dares to not drink the kool-aid. Even the PDC has ceased using the name "Major" and uses the blanket terms of "Premier Event" to cover all televised  events.

Its bizarre how a lot of the people who will claim a non ranking, invitational Premier Event is a Major are the very same people who dismiss the World Series, former Championships League Darts & Grand Slam. How can you dismiss the CloD, Grand Slam, World Series all which we unranked, and invitational and then in blatant contradictory fashion call the PL a major ?

Obviously for me all Premier Events are not equal. For example James Wade is the 3rd most successful player in PDC history so if all "Premier Events" were equal or all were "Majors" by that logic he should be in the top 3 PDC players of all time list then since only 2 players in history have won more than him on tv right?

But most people do not put him in the top 3, some cite how he never won a world championships, which right away implies the big ranking events matters more. Others dismiss his World Series, CLoD, as they were non ranking invitationals...but so was his Premier League when he won it. I am a Wade fan and even I have always claimed it was never a major.
Dart fan by their nature will change their minds, contradict themselves in order to suit a agenda. For example, when Glen Durrant was the BDO Lakeshite champion I would see BDO fans slate the PDC and openly mock the Premier League as an exbo. A lot of PDC fans would mock the BDO and laugh how the BDO would refer to the Bob Potter Cup as a World title. Then Glen Durrant switched, and later he won the PDC Premier League, and the BDO fans who previously berated the PL now claimed it was a Major. Sadly for them, Glen Durrant broke their little inbred hearts when he said winning the Premier League was he greatest moment of his career, more important than Lakeshite, then suddenly, the hurt bdo fans tried to belittle the PL yet again.
The point is , some fans have no consistency, lack credibility, will change their view depending on which players are involved.

Luke littler has now won it, but ask yourself this, is this the biggest moment of Littler's career ? In my opinion no. I think him reaching the final of the World championships was far more impressive. It was certainly more important to his ranking, his career, the momentum he had at the time, and how the media got involved. I know some simpleton will cry how he got 75k more for the PL, but he had to travel around Europe for 17 weeks  as opposed to 7 games ? in the World championships, also the novelty of him was not as new or fresh and  also factor in the money in the Worlds was ranking money.

No one denies the Premier League gives out good money to those who are friends of Twat Porter, but if the World Series prize fund was doubled would it become twice as important ? fuck No, and I never understood why non ranking money would matter to the viewer, where as ranking money could mean the difference between watching your favourite player being in an upcoming proper Major or not.

Thank fuck it is over for another year, and we are heading towards the second half of the year where ranking events are more commonplace, but no doubt we will still have the likes of Mardle tells us during the next World Series. or World Cup or whatever non ranking shit how its "A Major" like its some unquestionable fact.

Then as dart fans we are expected to believe everything we are told like it is some unquestionable truth. Take Beau Greaves, who this week took part in the Modus champions Week. She played well and my issue is not with her but the astounding retarded comments spouted by those on comms how because she won a group in modus of which all were men, we were told how she is as good the as the men. She is as good as the men in Modus only, probably even better, but these men in modus are not the best in he world, far from it, jobbers, failed q- schoolers, and players unable to hold on to their card. Are we suppose to be surprised the best female in the World is better than men who are far from the best in the World. Would this happen in any other game or sport.Steffi Graf would have beaten most men in Tennis, but would have lost to the best Men in tennis, this is not rocket science.
Still I am sure there will be some moron crying how I was slating Littler and Greaves, like this inbred fuck with an imbalance of chromosomes.

On the topic of Modus, some good games this week and watched a few in the evenings after work, wont miss the sour faced Duff not qualifying, and should be worth a watch on Saturday night, but obviously mostly on mute.

THE EURO TOUR

A mixed bag of result on Friday, with Wade winning against some Finnish jobber which keeps him just inside the last spot for the Matchplay, but the game that stood out was Joe Cullen against Jermaine Wattimena who acted like total cunt. I can understand a Dutch player doing what he can in Holland to rile up the crowd to get them behind him, but to do it consistently when Cullen was throwing was bad form and Cullen was not pleased and had words with the fat fuck after the game
