Adrian Batterbsy was the guy who the World Seniors Darts Tour got to do their TV production for their Senior worlds comp.For those unfamiliar with Battersby , he has a long term history of appalling production. This is the clown that did the TV production for the last BDO fiasco in the O2 dark back room. Remember the blackouts, errors, wrong graphics, audio problems etc back then.
5 years ago back in 2017 he won Knob of the Week, in fact he won it in February 2015 too v7 years ago and got honourable mentions multiple times. As said the guys production company 247.tv is utter dog shit.The seniors started on Thursday night, with a shaky camera, cloudy and blurred picture. The scoreboard was constantly wrong, and even disappeared for over an hour.Right from the off the graphic on the screen said last 32 .....there was only 24 players involved
There was already light flashing for notifications of low battery, and the audio was fucked. The only cunt who could be heard clearly was the insufferable Paul Nicholson. Bobby George and Hells Bells looked like extras from a zombie movie. It was like watching the shitty bdo for the mid 90s without the maroon blazers, or something the Selectas did in 2019. It was atrocious. Do these people never learn ?
Of course some people desperate to defend anything came up with all sort of excuses, my favorite being as long as the people in the venue were happy who cares. Yes it was good tv stations were interested in this product initially, and fair play to being able to sell tickets something the WDF cannot do, and factor in the nostalgic element that had the chance to hit the ground running, but the fucked it up.
However this was aimed at the TV audience and what the tv audience saw was a dismal production, and as much as Adrian Battersby's production was abysmal and you could argue deserves Knob of the Week, I put the blame on whichever cheap bastard in the WSDT that okayed this shit and hired Battersby in the first place. This cunt needs to resign, I cannot see BBC being interested in this again, and who could blame them. The WSDT shot themselves in the foot hiring a guy with a history of shit production, so hard to feel sorry for them. Everyone knew Battersby's company was shit, has been for years upon years without ever improving and some moron in the WSDT hired him. Why ? Because it was cheap ? Now why would he be cheap, or did someone knowingly know his track record and give him the job and some backhander was involved. Why would anyone hire that company where their history was so well known. That is why the WSDT win Knob of the Week
The following day they got a new scoreboard, but the audio was still shit and the darts got even worse. Alan Warriner turned up and did a Mervyn King impression as his injury was blamed for an atrocious mid 50s average. Butler battered him 3-0 and had an average almost 32 point higher. Hells Bells proceeded to interview Butler and spoke to him like he was senile, deaf and stupid and she came off to me as a condescending cunt. Uttering how "things are like over here", the guy won the PDC matchplay "over here" 15 years before you were throwing yourself at dart players like James Wade who dumped you.
To be fair to certain players 3 of the 4 winners of this evenings session averaged in the 90s, the lowest winning average of 81 was hit by Taylor, doubt many expected that.The highlight of the night was the "reigning BDO World champion" yes, people called him that,Wayne Warren who was destroyed by Kevin Painter a guy that was failing q-school whilst the roofer was wandering around crying telling anyone that would listen how he was "owed" money by the Selectas when the roofer knew the money was being reduced and chose to play regardless.Adams and Howson bored me senseless, Howson buckled when the man who went crawling for the PDC coin in the past put in 3 lovely checkouts. The 3 finishes were the only highlight of a game that bored me.
Taylor in his game hit a sweet 262 out in 5 darts, and there was nothing else of note in another boring drab game.I thought Spineless or Manley were going to suffer heart attacks live on tv, both looked like they needed an ambulance on stand by. Trina who put some weight back on did something the BDO Champion failed to do, she won a leg in her match. Thornton looked solid again as he romped home.
I thought no interview could top a purple faced spineless who was giggling like a buffoon at his own stupidity, but Taylor's was probably worse, and was encroaching on Zombie Hells Bells like Warty on a pregnant woman. Was Hells Bells Chamberlain told to shout at players and treat them like simpletons because they were ancient ? We had Priestley on comms and was depressing people though still more likable than Paul Nicholson. The whole night was flat.
As a novelty nostalgic event it had a couple of decent games, some fine moments, a shit load of comedy gold mostly due to the TV production, cringe interviews, lies and bullshit, and of course sucking up. The WDST have more events planned, with the appalling production,the novelty fast wearing off, and Taylor looking like he really is finished even for this event, I cannot see these events reaching the same interest again. Next year will they bring in people like Justin Pipe who no one gives a fuck about, or a dancing Mardle because he is local to the area to placate what looked like a crowd where over 75% looked over 50 years of age, It was like watching a british remake of the movie Cocoon.
THE PDC.
I will admit, last Thursdays Premier League was the best PL night I enjoyed in a while, a far better format, however should one player dominate for a good few weeks it could be done and dusted winner wise long before the end. I saw on twitter I think it was, where some lad suggested the PDC should have selected 12 players, start night 1 with the 8 players, and in week 2 the four first round losers would be replaced with the other 4 players, and rotating the losers each week. I thought it was a great idea and they could have included the boring Rob Cross.
Like it or not , Cross who has little charisma, was unjustly left out in my opinion. The guy is the current reigning European Champion. Winner of a genuine ranking TV event where he pocketed 120k. Yet Cullen who won a non ranked event gets selected. To me ranking events trumps non ranking events.
Remember the PDC once tried to bullshit their fans when making excuses for the sugar dodging pick Barney saying he won a tv trophy, he won the world Cup.Somehow being carried to some 2 bit shit comp by a better player in MVG warranted a spot. Surely then Hendo should be in the PL right ? and if a world cup earns you a spot, then how the fuck can a genuine ranking trophy in the European Champs not get Cross in ? The reason is the PDC don't give a fuck about rules and doing the right thing if it gets in the way of their favoritism. There is no way Ando should have been selected. He is a red nosed cunt who whines constantly how he is tired, skips events, always making excuses, and has not won a tv comp since 2018...4 fucking years ago.
Only a couple of weeks ago he sated he might not do the PL this year, it was the perfect time to fuck him out. If they went with the 12 player criteria who knows they could have shoehorned Pinocchio in as well. Cross was not the first PDC player to win a tv event and not be selected, in fact he was the 4th. Most remember Paul Nicholson back in 2010, but Co Stompe was left out of the 2011 PL after a world Cup win, and because his name was not Barney, Hendo in 2022 for winning the world and for not being Gary Anderson, and now Rob Cross who is entering James Wade territory where it dont matter if you deserve it, they will find a way to omit if possible. My only surprise was they did not scrap the top 4 rule and fuck Wade out too, such is the favoritism by the PDC.
Night 1 was won by Peter Wright who averaged 113 in the final on a winmau board, so much for the mushrooms arguments of "toy boards".
This toy boards complaint is something I find hilarious. I once asked a midget cunt and his lackey little fat liam on forums years back, for proof of these "special boards", obviously none ever came, because they only existed in their tiny little minds. Surely after over a quarter of a century , countless tv events, some person would have proof of these ? Yet no player has ever shown one, no fan has ever seen one either. Go figure, all those boards that Phil Taylor took down off the wall and gave to fans, all those boards that were raffled or donated to charities,none of them were any different. Not one player who lost his tour card or suspended by the DRA came out and claimed to have witnessed ever seeing one either. I reckon it wont be long before these simpletons start claiming Winmau, the same board they heralded for years, are accused of making "special tv boards". It never ceases to be hilarious how far their hatred of all things PDC will go.
FLUKE HUMPHRIES.
This detestable cunt is fast becoming one of the most annoying pricks to watch. The latest PDC player with an over inflated ego and ridiculous sense of entitlement. Should he have beaten MVG in the Masters, ? Yes, but he choked, he missed 5 match darts, and when MVG broke and ran away in the last leg, out came his pathetic excuses that MVG coughed. Its a complaint many have made against hunchback, and I reckon he did, but at that point MVG was 200 points ahead and romping home. Fluke in an effort to deflect from his choking needed an excuse, and this prick has a history of incidents when he loses.
Numerous times over the recent years, I have stated on this blog the only way certain players would ever win a Televised comp would be if they met a fellow choker in the final. I have said this about Bellyboy, Dave Dismal and Joe Cullen, and as always I was proven right, and it took 2 of the names mentioned to play each other in the final for one to be assured of a victory, and extricate themselves from JC's HALL OF SHAME. Oddly JC was also the initials of last years winner, and the initials of this years winner. Is Cullen still a choker when 2 chokers meet in a final and one of them has to win ? In my opinion Yes, he just choked less which is what happened. It was not a ranking event,another nothing event shown on tv about as important as some World Series of darts final. Cullen feel over the line even though it was a non ranking tv title of little significance I released him from my Hall of shame
For most like Jenkins, Gregory etc they are there forever, I know the Masters was not ranked, but the PDC do consider it a "Premier Event" and Cullen can say he at least won something on the box.As for the trophy itself, it is fucking hideous, one of the mankiest looking trophies I have seen and puny. I was happy for Cullen, and could understand a father being proud, but Jesus fucking Christ, did we need to see his dad up on the stage face gurning and acting like it was all about him. It was like when Pinocchio's dad was hogging the tv camera in the past, Give him an acknowledgement by all means, but looking at him cavorting was embarrassing.
As for Chizzy, it was a tough call to pick which of them would buckle again, the plus side of Cullen winning is the seething it caused amongst certain mushrooms who despised him, ever since he mocked the bdo a few years back.Like this clubfooted inbred snot eating gimpazoid.
This started last Saturday, and saw Vladimir Anderson back in the PDC. His 2 year ban ended last November, and has since won a tour card, and he beat Madars Razma on the Saturday 6-2 which led Madars to cry on twitter. Vladimir went on to win the event, that did not sit well with others. In event 2 on the Sunday, Vlad went out last 8 to Darius Labanaukaus, who lost in the final to Madars. A good rivalry going on there.
The Teeside Open took place on Sunday and was won by Graham Usher, but what stood out was Glen Durrant entered and could not even get past the last 8, shows how shit his game has got.Oddly the same cunts who cried about PDC Player Damon Heta playing in events had no problem or complained when PDC player Durrant entered......Is it because he is a former bdo 3 time chump ? the guy who claimed he was bdo for life and then promptly walked out on them ? If mushrooms are going to complain then be fucking consistent, either cry about all PDC players or don't cry at all. Pick a side or stance ye fucking mutant cunts and stick with it without contradicting yourselves.
THE WDF. THE LATEST UNINTENTIONAL COMEDY FIASCO.
The PDC announced last weekend all 7 players that were due to play in this event but had to withdraw cos they won tour cards, were being allowed to play in it by the PDC. A good move by the PDC right ?
Who cares, the mushrooms right away had to find some reason to knock the PDC, they just cannot help themselves. Seems the other players who did not go to Q-school because they were afraid of getting a card did not want to miss the chance to play in this. That's right, they automatically assumed had they entered Q-school they would have won a tour card.
Here is another beauty, I saw one person on a forum say they felt sorry for players like John Scott who was one on the replacement players lined up, and now he was out again. Well boo fucking hoo, I am not going to feel any sympathy for a person who was not good enough to qualify initially. Had he earned the place deservedly in the first place, he would not be waiting on hand outs.
Not that all this will help ticket sales as they are still shit, and the 7 players that won cards are hardly going to be big ticket sellers, and some players wont attend anyway, Super Mario has decided to skip the WDF event anyways, he wants to concentrate on the PDC and not miss any pro tours. Good for him. Briam Raman who was the WDF #1 seed for Lakeshite even stated Q-school was more important than Lakeshite which upset a few people.Begs the question, why was Richie Burnett and Kevin Burness not allowed play in the Seniors Darts event ? In the past there was the you cannot play if an event is streamed or televised, but since they have allowed the ex WDF players to attend Lakeshite which is being televised, why not allow Burnett and Burness enter the seniors.
Do the PDC still hold a grudge against Burnett, who after speaking out in years past was hounded by the DRA.Would the PDC be that vindictive the sort of org. You bet they are.
A org that would show favoritism, reward those undeserving, like Barney and Ando, treat others like shit like Cross and Wade who was even stopped interviews, fine players for the most ridiculous things, and bullshit fans with made up "needle" whilst trying to bury any real needle or animosity.
An org that is blatantly sexist. I would have no objection to a munter Series, and now this munter Matchplay if there was a munter world champs.
Either the PDC is unisex or its not, make up your fucking mind. Its like lets make it so one gender in a unisex code gets preferential treatment where they can circumvent the normal qualifying process for the slam and ally Pally solely on their gender.What happens if Ashton and Pinocchio are put in ally Pally and the slam and keep losing, what happens if they "win a tour card" by winning events for only one gender in a unisex code.
Do you know why the PDC will not award a tour card for the top 2 of the Munter Series ? because if Pinocchio and Ashton won tour cards they would be exempt from the munter series the following year and would not be good enough in a level playing field taking on the men in order to get to Ally Pally and the slam.They would miss out and Cumsponge Porter knows this. Look how former tour card holder Ashton could not qualify and had to double dip and use the sexist munter series. I would laugh is some bloke kicked up a fuss or decided to identify as female and enter the comps in order to qualify for events. What would the PDC do then, as it is there should not even be a code for one gender unless they have their own separate tour and worlds.

The 4 players left were all players I liked, and was hoping Cullen or Chizzy would get their first TV title and so it transpired.
Chizzy made it look easy against Clayton in the first semi.
Cullen struggled against Jose when he got the chances and missed match darts in a few legs, but eventually rapped it up with his 7th match dart
So I got the final I wanted to see where we were assured a new tv title winner. One player would lift his first TV title, the other would be a loser and remain in the Hall of Shame.
Cullen missed 10 match darts ..TEN, but the choker could afford to as Chizzy who looked pissed was abymal and out choking Cullen.That said would have been happy for who ever won something at long last, even if it was only a Masters.
Then we got the ex con Mason who started crying about people using the name "chokers".....well he would be upset at the term since he was a choker all his life too with a trophy cabinet as bare as Ian White's.
