Here is another deluded soul from the BDO who thinks because he was picking up pork chops, books of raffle tickets and the weight of his head in brass darts (flights not included) that he is gonna be one of the greats.
When he first joined the PDC the brainwashed morons of forums were either crying he left the bdo or heralding him as one of the best 3 players in the world...I am not joking , some people actually claimed this, simply cos he won a floor event, the fact he beat none of the top players was conveniently ignored...since then he has lost to the greats of the game, the list of superstars include Andy Smith, Antonia Alcinas, Magnus Caris, and Martyn Turner., prior to the euros every player from the top 8 beat him.
His single win against a top 8 player was against Wade on the floor in the euro qualifiers 6-5 after Wade misses chances to win.
He did pick up a couple of good victories in the Euros, against the dutch speed jobber VvdV, a poor Dolan, and the arsehole Justin Pipe( thankfully), but to spout out he is here to challenge the likes of Taylor, MVG etc is beyond deluded.
And when the time came to produce it against Taylor he bombed, a 92 average simply will not cut it.
He is not, nor will he ever be a top 3 player in the world, he might make the top ten, but like Barney another player who once left the BDO to compete with Taylor he will get his fair share of hidings that will shatter his confidence and finally settle in to the midcard level, as Bunting is nowhere near the player Barney was when he switched.
That said, has done pretty good since his switch. just like Chizzy and Winstanley did after their switch. although winstanley has since stuttered. A good player yes, but the quality to be on a par with Taylor. MVG etc...not a hope in hell
