The Saturday session saw Smudger fail to ever get going and went 4-0 down to Matt Campbell, and lose 6-2 in an upset result. Searle took on Gilding and again the seed went out as Searle lost in a last leg decider. In one leg needing 78 went 18 tops tops to bust his score. Cabbage Heta was the first seed to win beating Mansell 6-2, and Heta missing double 12 for the 9 darter in leg 3.In the 4th game another seed fell as Edhouse disposed of Noppert with a 102 average. Next up was chizzy the reigning champion and seed and out he went too, blowing a 4-2 against Menzies and a match dart as Menzies won a last leg decider. The next seed up was Ando and he blew it against the match fixing prick Nijman and Ando became the 5th seed in 6 matches to go out. De Decker took on Joyce and for a change the seed actually won, with De Decker winning 6-3. Last up was Gurney who averaged 107 and 100% on doubles and dumped out Van Veen, the 6th seed to go out in the session.
In the evening session Dobey missed 2 match darts and in to a last leg decider he went with Springer who missed 2 match darts to send another seed out but Dobey held and won. Wade the seed took on Wenig and Wade hitting 5 maximums did the right things at the right times and romped home 6 zip. Pilgrim missed a glorious chance for 4-0 on Wright, and was lucky to go 4-2 up an in the end lost to Wright. Wattimena who go handy draws in Home qualifiers in many events went out to Clayton. and Bellyboy was battered by Dirty Harry. Aspinall dumped out Brooks, Pikachu beat Schindler and Bunting sent Woodlouse packing.
SUNDAY
Campbell put in his best performance in besting Wade, Heta dumped out dirty Harry and Menzis disposed of Edhouse, Clayton ran amok against De Decker, Aspinall knocked out Pikachu, dobey averaged 110 in dumping out gilding who was also over a ton average. Krusty blew it against the match fixing prick Nijman, and Bunting edged past Gurney.
QUARTERS
Heta won a last leg decider against Campbell, Clayton beat Menzies in a poor gam where there was mi 80 averages, Aspinall beat Dobey in a game where bth averaged mid 90s, the Match fixer averaged a mere 89 and still beat Bunting.
SEMIS
Heta and Clayton was a great game both averaging over 102 with Heta coming out on top 7-3, and Aspinall averaged over 103 dumping out the match fixing prick Nijman.
FINAL.
Aspinall again averaged over the ton beating Heta in a decent watch 8-6.
RANKINGS.
Aspinall's win and stop his slump in ranking events saw him move up to World #6, a jump 3 places, Heta's run o the final saw him rise 2 spots to #8 whilst Wade's loss saw him drop to #10. Cross dropped 3 spots to #9. Wattimena's recent hammerings of home nation qualifiers saw him break in the top 32 at the expense of Ratjski. Springer's rise continued and he was up another 3 spots to #73.
Bellyboy at world #20 was over £5k form a Matchplay spot last week, and after is mauling by Dirty Harry, he is now 7k outside the Matchplay, with events running short and Edhouse 6k outside.
LATEST GLORIFIED NON RANKING SHIT
After months of Twat Porters golden favourites in the PL , the same crowd were amazingly invited to yet another glorified non ranking exbo and of course another payday, so there was no chance i was staying in on a friday night to watch that monotonous shit, and opted for the pub and casino, getting home around 5am, catch up with modus , wrote this and off to the cot.
