KNOB OF THE WEEK
It seems the events the PDC have taken off ITV according to rumours circulating that the events will most likely end up on channel 5, and if true this is a backward step, as the other channels of channel 5 are not High Definition, and channel 5 have even longer adverts than ITV and in the past after lengthy ad breaks whilst showing snooker, often returned and missed the start of frames, the idea of missing large amounts of darts can not be a good thing.
The premier league this week was given a miss, and read there was a 9 darter by Price, and Aspinall won the night and put himself in the qualifying spot at the expense of MvG. I will only watch this boring meaningless glorified exbo on the final night. Kim Huybrects in an interview this week spoke about the PL and according to the article:
During his time in the Premier League, the format required each player to contest one match per night. Huybrechts admitted he is not a fan of the current system. "I don’t really like this format — it’s lost some of its charm compared to before. Who wants to watch the twentieth meeting between Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen in just half a year? Back then, it was one blockbuster like Phil Taylor versus Raymond van Barneveld — that was something you’d switch your TV on for. Now, I don’t watch much when I’m home. I see these guys more often than I see my own family," he said with a smile.
