KNOB OF THE WEEK

Apologies for the lateness  for this weeks brief entry but we have been away for almost a week, and I have not seen a single piece of darts news, watched no modus or PDC world Series, and only got the results this morning. Then by coincidence this week there was nothing of note to miss

So as not to break the routine where I have never missed a Knob of the Week in a dozen years I will have to award it to someone, so out of sheet laziness, lack of information and relevant news, I have opted for Twat Porter for  giving the fans yet another televised non ranking glorified exbo, an event so meaningless that some players who were in the venue the day of the qualifiers fucked off home rather than hang around and qualify for this..

Even watching the event today I could not fathom any interest in an event that is so utterly meaningless. At what point do people simply get fed up with non ranking exbo after non ranking exbo.

Nathan Aspinall announced months ago he would not be back until the Grand Prix, yet the PDC kept him included in this event, and only the day or so before decided to "call up" Gilding and announce Aspinall would not be taking part, so in what capacity is this a professional way of conducting business ?.

The PDC can refer to this shit as a "Premier Event", like they have with the World Cup, the Championship League of Darts, the Masters, and the Premier League, but for me anything that is non ranked , or invitational, or so meaningless where players cannot even be arsed to try enter will never be a major event, televised or not.

A simple question....why should any fan care for this shit when some professional players do not care for it ?

On the plus side, with the completion of this the real business end of the year gets underway
