Well done Tony for proving without a shadow of doubt you are the greatest bottler ever in Darts.
He is even worse than shitlock, and that takes some doing. Here was a chance for a guy who lost 7 so called BDO major finals to redeem himself in a comp where his half of the group was possibly the poorest half of a comp I have seen ever in the PDC.
No disrespect to Thornton but he aint no Taylor, Lewis or MVG,, and while Thornton played solid, Tony missed chance after chance after chance, he absolutely choked...again.
Ok I know some will say Terry Jenkins lost 7 finals and whilst true at least Jenkins lost in a tougher field against players like Taylor & Wade in their prime and put up a fight.
Tonight's effort was pathetic, although it was around 10 points more than he did in that appalling BDO final earlier this year.
you just knew as it got near the important stage this guy would choke, there was legs tonight where you felt almost certain he would not hit them he bottling it so much.
Hang your head in shame.
