KNOB OF THE WEEK
There has been 2 World Series events this year, The Bahrain Masters, and Dutch Masters. Obviously Humphries, Littler etc were invited, just as they were for other exbo events like the Premier League.
The invites for the upcoming 3 events of the Nordic Darts Masters, US Darts Masters, and the Poland Darts Masters were released a while back, and the remaining 2 events down under in Australia and New Zealand had 6 of the 8 invitees already named.
Here is my issue, Gerwyn Price, a player I enjoy watching, has been invited to all seven events, I expect that of Humphries or Littler, but how is it fair when the world #11 gets an invite to every event, whilst players ranked higher get less invites. Even Peter Wright the world #15 got an invite in one of the events already. Yet a player like James Wade, like him or not is the world #8 and has not gotten a single invitation, whilst a player below him gets an invite to every event.
Price is not even the highest ranked player in Wales. Clayton who is performing better, got just 2 invites in the next 5 events to Price involved in every event.
The PDC do not even try to hide their favoritism for certain players and their dislike of others. Lets not forget Price has had no problem in the past skipping euro events for example to stay home and watch a rugby game, and the PDC reward him with invite after invite.Even today he withdrew from the euro tour which appears at a very late stage. How exactly can seeing the same players, week after week , month after month in the Premier League, only to see them all again in almost every World series event be special ? Even Humphries versus Littler which will always be a quality match has lost a lot of its appeal, when you can see it so often.
I expected Heta would be involved in events down under only because of his nationality, in the same way Shitlock was paraded out there as token homeboy but with the chosen clique of Twat Porter getting the reads of the Premier League, a lot more players should be given chances in the World Series events.
Watching the Euro tour today was more of a priority for me than even looking fr the results of the Premier League last night, let alone watching the PL. I did not even watch any highlights, in fact when the afternoon session in the Euro tour finished, I caught up on Modus instead, which tells you how disinterested I am the PL and the same players over and over in an event that in not even ranked, nor should it ever be. As I said last week Huybrechts stated how he thinks continuous meetings of the top players make it less special, and this week Heta echoed similar sentiments
“No I don’t watch it. I haven’t watched it this year. I see the results obviously they come up on social media all the time. But I didn’t watch it. I might have watched a few games last year. I think it’s too much. It’s the same people in the match ups and then I’m seeing them every week at darts.
I’m on the dartboard practicing when they’re playing the thing. I mean you are getting those prestigious games but all the time so you’re flooding the good darts.
The Luke Littler vs Luke Humphries you’re going to see them twenty plus times a year probably play each other. I’m not even sure how many times we have seen a Phil Taylor vs MvG game."
EURO TOUR
Those missing the event included #2 Littler, #6 Cross, #9 Aspinall, #11 Price and #12 Ando.
Evil Charlie never took some early chances and went out 6-1 to Pikachu who averaged 96.
Despite being 3-0 down and 5-3 down the lanky match fixing cunt Nijman got through and even survived 3 match darts, fucking sickening.
Flukeman took on Wenig, and Flukeman's solid performance and 96 average was too much for Ze German. Joyce and De Zwaan was a typical Friday afternoon slogfest, with Joyce missing 5 match darts for a 6-4 win and in the last leg De Zwaan missed 3 match darts and Joyce took the win. Super Mario averaged almost a ton over 10 legs winning 6-4 against Zonneveld in a surprisingly entertaining game. The always miserable antagonistic Belgian Orphan Huybrechts against Edhouse started with shite from Edhouse and going 3-0 down but improved and even missed a match dart for a 6-4 win,it went to a final leg and a good finish, with Edhouse upset with the crowd whistling, after missing 2 more match darts, Huybrechts needing double 10 but his score and Edhouse sealed the win. As usual Huybrechts was upset over something the moody cunt. Gilding was atrocious against Beaker from the Muppet Show. Gilding barely broke the 80 barrier for his first 9 darts for the first 4 legs.Spaaridans averaging just 92 won convincingly 6-2. The session finished with Max Jobb sending Woodlouse packing 6-3 despite averaging only 87.
Cullen and Meikle started the evening session, as Cullen missed countless doubles and was broke twice and was 3-0 down, and despite Cullen getting a break back, Meikle broke and held and went 5-1 up and broke for 6-1 win. Cullen missed 15 doubles and averaged 82. Gurney and Kuivenhoven bored me senseless and I did not care Gurney won. Then we got Mansell and sure enough it went all eleven long legs. To be fair Mansell just held for the 6 legs he had throw and was a solid display with a 94 average. Wesley Plaiser who looks like he comes from the same gene pool as hunchback MvG took on the scruffy looking Menzies. Plaiser broke for a 3-1 lead and held for 4-1, but missed 5 darts for 5-2 as Menzies broke and held for 4-4, and broke again and threw for the win, but Plaiser took out 127 on the bull for a 12 darter break, but it was in vain as he then missed 6 match darts and out went Plaiser. Next was big Boris and Van Veen, with boris on fire for a 2-0 lead but went of the boil and when he failed to hold in the 6th leg he was 4-2 down despite averaging 13 points more, Boris broke and held for 4-4, and held for 5-5, Boris broke for the win, as the dutch scum crowd again were whistling out .I was done for the night, no way was I subjecting myself to Barney against another jobber, or Fattimena against a nobody, not even dirk in between against some Scandanavian jobber was worth hanging around for.
Barney won in a last leg, Dirk averaged over a ton in a raping of a Finn and Nico Springer averaged in 3 figures in a win over Fattimena
Roll on tomorrow
